Detectives investigating two deaths in Teabridge have issued a fresh appeal for information as the inquiry enters its second week.
Officers have spent several days speaking with residents, examining CCTV footage and conducting searches around locations believed to be connected with the investigation.
Teabridge Constabulary has now confirmed that detectives believe the two deaths are linked.
Police have declined to comment on what evidence led investigators to that conclusion.
Additional patrols have been introduced around the town centre and several surrounding footpaths.
Detective Inspector Oliver Hart said even information which appeared insignificant could prove important.
“We are particularly interested in unusual vehicles, unfamiliar people or anything residents remember seeing during the evenings surrounding these incidents,” he said.
Police have also asked residents with private doorbell cameras or security systems to preserve footage from the relevant dates.
Rumours concerning the investigation have circulated widely throughout Teabridge during the past week.
Police have urged residents not to speculate publicly about possible suspects.
