Teabridge is beginning to return to familiar routines following confirmation that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the killings which dominated the town throughout the summer.
Police say they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation and have repeatedly reassured residents that there is no continuing threat to the public.
The announcement has brought considerable relief after more than two months of uncertainty.
Evening events are beginning to return, businesses have restored normal opening hours and police patrols are gradually being reduced.
The identity of the person arrested has still not been publicly released.
Police have said that information concerning the suspect will remain restricted while legal proceedings continue.
Chief Superintendent Evelyn Marsh thanked residents for their cooperation.
“The people of Teabridge have shown extraordinary patience during a deeply distressing period,” she said.
The council has confirmed that scheduled autumn events will proceed as planned.
For many residents, however, the summer of 2025 will remain one of the darkest chapters in recent Teabridge history.
